Guest Speaker: Dale Monnin

Dale Monnin helps bring the Drum Café to the USA on the heels of a successful career in Sales and Sales management. With an MBA in International Business and a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Dale has worked for top global technology firms such as Parametric Technology, IBM, and NCR in addition to his solo work in Consulting and Music. Dale has worked on 4 continents, building and developing cross-cultural teams in marketplaces as diverse as post-apartheid South Africa (where he first took up drumming) and the Pacific Rim. An avid traveler, his adventures have taken him through some 150+ cities in more than 55 countries. With the Drum Café here in the U.S., Dale has used a unique repertoire of programming to enhance organizational health for 15 years with over a million attendees from well over 1,000 organizations

Program Info:

The Drum Cafe is not a restaurant or venue. It is a unique, (literally) hands-on experience to teambuilding, learning, and motivation that, simply put, draws the parallels between making music and organizational effectiveness. It's a program that is experienced and felt, so there are no spectators and everyone is a part of the performance – just like in the workplace! A musical background is not required as the transformation that occurs between the music as being 'wrong' and the music as being 'right' is easily understood by everyone despite their musical sensibilities, thanks to our innate sense of rhythm. And because music is a universal language, it transcends those barriers, traditional or otherwise, that tend to come between us professionally such as hierarchy, functional area of expertise, or geographic dispersion, as well as personally such as gender, age, or cultural background.
