Guest Speaker: Stephanie Allen

A seed was planted in the fall of 2000 when Melissa Hancock and Stephanie Stanley were assigned offices across the hall from one another in the Mass Communication Building at Texas Tech University. As Teaching Assistants for the Department of Communication and study buddies through Graduate School these two grew through their education and training in Communication.  Upon completing their Master’s Degrees in Communication Studies, the two stayed in the Lubbock area to pursue their individual careers.
Melissa has devoted almost two decades to her profession in the Pharmaceutical Industry and has all the while continued to teach as an adjunct faculty member at Texas Tech University. After teaching Business and Professional Communication at South Plains College for 10 years, Stephanie founded a Consulting Firm where she spends her time teaching and coaching in areas of Communication, Organization, & Leadership.

Today, Communication Creates is a thriving representation of that seedling planted 19 years ago.  This platform allows Melissa Hancock-Shirley & Stephanie Stanley-Allen an opportunity to share their passion for effective communication in the workplace, at home, and in social settings.

   Program Details:

Professionalism in the workplace through effective communication is achievable for everyone.
The Communication Creates Team will introduce you to your communication personality and how it affects those in your very own workplace.
Additionally, they will discuss the importance of impression management while guiding you through a process to help develop professional habits at work.
Nonverbal cues make up the majority of our communication. We would be remiss not to assess your personal nonverbal usage while providing application tips for you to apply.
Overall, communication impacts every single relationship we have at work and at home. As a human resources manager, your level of communication effectiveness attributes to the health of your organization.
