Guest Speaker: Rick Robinson
As Managing Director of Ramsee Consulting Group, Rick has focused developing and delivering a variety programs in the areas of Leadership Development, Project Management, Lean Manufacturing, Teambuilding, Strategic Planning, Measurement Systems, and Change Management.
In the last ten years Rick has facilitated a number of strategic and project planning sessions for a variety of clients, including Wingstop Restaurants, the Town of Addison, DeKalb Office, the City of Richardson, the City of Georgetown, the City of Denton, and the North Dallas Chamber of Commerce. His inclusive and highly interactive style has earned him high praise from his clients and conference attendees.
Rick earned degrees in Accounting and Finance from Texas A&M University in 1985. After college, he taught Economics and Accounting in the Fiji Islands as a Peace Corps volunteer. His client list also includes GM, Chrysler, Nortel, Picker, Del Monte Foods, Steelcase, Texas Health Systems, Dallas HR, and Lloyds of London.
Most of us move through the day focused on tactical issues. We have some sort of to-do list that helps prioritize and manage our day. But what happens when we need to elevate our thinking and look at things Strategically instead of Tactically? What goes into a Strategic Plan? Would it be nice to have all of the elements of a Strategic Plan defined, and a roadmap and techniques for creating one laid out for you?
In this one-hour session you will be presented with a time-tested Strategic Planning process that has been used to successfully develop hundreds of Strategic Plans for municipalities, non-profits, and for-profit entities. It is scalable and can be focused on the enterprise, division, or departmental level, and it includes all the elements necessary to assemble a Strategic Plan, and it can been used by any sized group.
Upon completion of this session, participants will be able to:
- Describe the importance of Strategic Planning and why it can be difficult
- Describe the Strategic Planning Process
- List, describe, and state the importance of each of the elements of a Strategic Plan
- Describe some common techniques for reaching group consensus
