5 Proven Strategies to Get More Buy-In from the C-Suite

Bruce W. Waller, Vice President, The Relocation Company and Texas SHRM Assistant State Director for CLA – Best Selling Author, Keynote Speaker, and Podcast Host for Life in the Leadership Lane

In the dynamic world of HR leadership, securing buy-in from the C-suite is often one of the most challenging obstacles. HR professionals frequently express frustration when their ideas or initiatives don’t gain the support they need from top executives. But what if the key to gaining this buy-in is not just about presenting a compelling idea, but about strategically selling that idea? In this session, Bruce Waller, an experienced business and sales leader, will share five proven strategies that can transform how HR professionals approach leadership buy-in. Drawing on his own leadership experiences and insights from top HR executives, Bruce will guide you through techniques to increase influence, build trust, and effectively communicate your ideas. Attendees will leave with actionable strategies that can not only advance their initiatives but also elevate their leadership presence and impact in the workplace.

    Learning Objectives:

    • Enhance Influence and Trust-Building Skills – Develop strategies to build trust and credibility with senior leadership, ensuring HR initiatives gain stronger support and alignment with organizational goals.
    • Strengthen Strategic Communication for Buy-In – Learn how to identify key business challenges, craft compelling solutions, and effectively present data-driven business cases that resonate with the C-suite.
    • Leverage Advocacy and Persistence for Success – Discover how to engage key sponsors, cultivate persistence, and communicate with confidence to drive HR initiatives forward and establish a lasting leadership presence.

By the end of this session, participants will not only have a stronger understanding of how to navigate the complexities of executive leadership but will also walk away with practical tools to make a lasting impact in their organization.

Breakfast will be served at this 3.5 hour program.
