Human Resources
5 Steps to Supercharge Internal Engagement & External Impact
Guest Speaker:
Rynn Day
In this session you will learn why and how your business or HR department should create a strategic approach to "impact" programs (also called give-back programs, CSR, nonprofit partnerships, or charity). Businesses and corporations have a unique opportunity in the coming years to be on the cutting edge of meaningful, sustainable community impact. Without strategy, impact initiatives can become disconnected, unsupervised, and ineffective - wasting everyone's time and resources. In the session we will walk through connecting purpose with product, focusing efforts on specific opportunities, engaging and inspiring team members, and continuously analyzing and adapting programs for long-term success. Your impact programs should be working as hard as your business and when it actually works, it's good for everyone.
Rynn is a people leader and systems optimizer who helps develop healthy, long-lasting orgs. Over the past 15+ years, she has worked across business management, nonprofit marketing, people ops and corporate culture for Betenbough Companies, a conglomerate of for-profit family brands with 400+ employees, plus United Way, Medical Missions, and YWCA. Rynn’s specialty is building systems that benefit employees, leadership, and the bottom line, all at the same time. Rynn recently became the Chief Development Officer for Open Door Lubbock, and is also a founding partner of Rooster, a new agency that helps businesses create and sustain their impact programs.
